A 10 mg vial with 2 mL of water gives 5 mg/mL. A 1 mg dose takes up 0.2 mL — that's 20 units on a U-100 syringe.

Yes, that's the normal use. A reconstituted 10 mg vial gives ten 1 mg injections or five at 2 mg, drawn over the following weeks. What needs care is wiping the stopper before every puncture and keeping storage right between injections.
It's the same procedure as any lyophilized peptide: vial at room temperature, stopper wiped with alcohol, bacteriostatic water running down the inner wall, gentle swirling until dissolved, no shaking. Then refrigerate and keep it away from light.
